Supplies Needed:

  • One sheet of 12x12 or 8 1/2 x 11 White cardstock
  • Blue Broad Tip, Blue Fine Tip pen
  • Straight Ruler
  • Blue Ink Pad
  • Plastic Food Wrap (about 11"x11")
  • School Stickers –

(I used here Hallmark’s stickers # SS 5190)

  • 12" scratch paper for applying ink

Instructions:
  1. Take your Blue Broad Tip pen and straight edge ruler and draw a line on all four sides of the cardstock about ½" in from outer edge of cardstock.
  2. Next, take your Blue Fine Tip pen and draw a line inside of the already drawn line about ¼" from the line. Repeat all the way around your page.
  3. Then take the Plastic wrap and crumple lightly into a ball. Dab lightly into Blue Ink Pad and test on a piece of scrap paper to see the effect you will get with the way you crumbled the plastic. Once you like what effect you have, you are ready to apply it to your page. Make sure you have newspaper or something under your page so not to get ink on your work surface.
  4. Take the 12" scratch paper and place the 12" edge along the Broad drawn line so you can dab the ink all along the outer edge of your paper. Repeat this all the way around the outside edge of your cardstock.
  5. Add your stickers. (Tip: If you have a pencil or crayon sticker, draw the same color scribble from the tip.)
  6. Last, write "School Time" in between the broad and fine line, repeat all the way around.
  7. Your page is now ready for pictures and journaling. (Mat pictures using a color close to the ink you used on the edge.)
