One sheet of 12x12 or 8 1/2 x 11 White cardstock
Chanukah Stickers (Stickers used here are by Frances Meyer, Inc. # R 2110-141)
Blue Fine Tip pen
Pencil and Eraser
2 Cotton Balls
Light Blue and Light Green Chalk or Ink Pads
Scratch paper to place under your punches and page for applying chalk or ink.
Take your pencil and the wavy ruler
and draw a wavy line on all four sides of the cardstock about ¾" in from outer edge
of cardstock. (I do opposites sides of the page first, then line up the ruler on the
remaining two sides to get an even looking corner at each end. Slide the ruler to get the
Next take your stickers and place on the pencil drawn line
around the edges of your page. I started by placing the "Happy Chanukah".
Next, line up your wavy ruler so that the wave of the ruler
is lined up on the inner side of the drawn wave. Take the cotton ball that was rubbed into
the blue or green chalk and rub from the ruler edge lined up on the drawn wave to the
outer edge of the page, blending the blue and green into each color as you start and end
each one to give a soft color change effect. (Make sure you have newspaper or something
under your page so not to get ink on your work surface.)
Last take your Blue Fine Tip Pen and Journal "Happy
Chanukah" between the stickers. Place dots (you can use a broad tip for dots) along
the wave where you did not journal. Erase any lines showing.
Your page is now ready for pictures and journaling. (Mat
pictures using a color close to the pen you used on the border.)
